Top of dining table is made from two book matched planks of Bubinga, joined with ebony butterfly keys.

                High backed dining chairs are comfortable and elegant.

Table top is supported by an assembly of rails and cross ties.

Table base has legs that curve and twist as they rise to meet the top.

All the Bubinga in this set came from one large log. The slab that makes up the table top, was custom milled to get two book-matched halves. The base has an assembly of rails and cross ties to which the slabs are mounted. I left a small gab between the slabs, and used Ebony butterfly keys to tie them together.
The chairs have padded seats, upholstered in black wool. The back splats and crest rails are shaped from thicker stock to create a comfortable lumbar support.
